Kinder- Una Belle Savant Richard, 80, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017. She was a native and resident of Kinder. Una Bella was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Una Belle will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her five children, James Vernon Richard of Kinder, Charlotte Yvette Higgins and husband John Jr. of Iowa, Angela Maria Willis and husband Rickie of Kinder, Thomas Christopher Richard and wife Sybil of Kinder, Carla Veronica Watson and husband Edward of Vidor, TX; three siblings, Violet Ardoin of Westlake, Victor Savant of Kinder, and Anthony Savant of Kinder; 11 grandchildren, Nicole, Jacob, Laci, Christopher, Joshua, Angelle, Connie, Victoria, Stephanie, Jennifer, and Timothy; 17 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, James “Wylie” Richard; sister, Marguerite Barnes; grandson, Cody Richard. 
Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Carter Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home from 4:30PM-9PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8AM until time of service.
