Kinder- Johnathon Scott Mills, 27, passed away Monday, July 17, 2017. He was a resident of Miami, Florida but lived most of his life in Kinder.
Johnathon was a loving and devoted father to his daughter Sophia. She was the light of his life. Johnathon also loved his family dearly and was a great friend to many. He was a happy person and enjoyed making his friends and family laugh. Johnathon will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, David “Jack” Mills and Paige Winn Mills; daughter, Sophia Grace Mills; loving companion, Edy Reyes; three siblings, Hunter Mills, Sarah Mills LeBleu, and Rachel Mills; Grandparents, Brenda Mills and John Simonsen.
Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Beverly Simonsen and Nell Winn Wright; grandfathers, Jack Mills, Don Winn, and Wayne Wright. 
Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, July 24, 2017 at 11AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder from 3PM-10PM with a vigil service at 6PM and a rosary will follow.  Visitation will continue Monday at 8AM until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to his daughter’s college fund. Donations may be made to Bank of America for Sophia Grace, Routing# 063100277, and Account # 898091103364.
