Kinder- Mr. Charles Edwin Dyke, 70, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in his home.
Mr. Dyke was a native of Welsh and a lifelong resident of Iowa, La. He was a truck driver and after retiring, became a DJ known as “Rockin C”. He enjoyed being with his family and friends and tending to his garden.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Schultz of Humble, Tx three grandchildren; Emily Gilmore and husband Justin, Evan Schultz and Samantha Schultz, three great-grandchildren; Kai, Cora and Kayden two brothers;  Jimmie Dyke of Welsh, La and Paul Dyke of Cleveland Tx, and three sisters;  Betty Dyke and Sandra Langley, both of Welsh and Cathy Thompson of Lake Charles.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Veronica Jeanne Dyke, and his parents Cliff and Ellen Credeur Dyke.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2017 at noon at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder.  Rev. Mike Myers will officiate. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitiation will begin Friday, June 23, 2017 at Reed Funeral Home from 5PM-9PM and will continue Saturday at 9 AM until time of service.
