Obituary of Edward Eurshel Holden

Kinder- Mr. Edward Eurshel Holden, 83, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
 Mr. Eurshel was one of the founding members of the Indian Village Baptist Church where he attended for 61 years. He loved the Lord and faithfully followed him.  He loved playing the guitar, especially for his church. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Mr. Eurshel was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed family reunions. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Delores Cating Holden; two children, Dewanna Manuel and husband James Manuel of Kinder, Brian Holden and wife Selina of Kinder; six grandchildren, Jamie Service and husband Carl of Lake Charles, Wesley Marcantel of Lake Charles, Mitchel Manuel of Kinder, Seth Holden and wife Mel of Hessmer, and Jacob Holden of Kinder; sister, Eva Marcantel of Indian Village. 
Preceded in death by his baby girl, Kimberly Marcantel; parents, Rill and Floyce Holden; 3 sisters.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 11AM at Indian Village Baptist Church. Rev. Kevin Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Indian Village Baptist Church from 4PM-9PM and will continue Wednesday at 8AM until time of service.
