Mrs. Rhonda Joyce Barbre, 66, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was a resident of Kinder.
Mrs. Rhonda was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her loving and kind spirit and her genuine nature. She deeply cared for others, especially in their time of need. Mrs. Rhonda loved life and lived life to its fullest. She was a proud member of the Coushatta Tribe and a member of The Grand Church. Mrs. Rhonda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and treated each one as her favorite. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 17 years, Craig Barbre; five children, Daphne Creel and husband Scott Creel, Kendall Duane Langley and wife Wendy Langley, Pam Bass and husband Jeff Bass, Michelle Perkins and husband Ken Perkins, and Hope Barbre; five step-children, Kristi Sonnier, Jessica Collins, Jacob Barbre, Courtney Barbre, and Michael Greene; grandchildren, Nici, Emileigh, Kendra, Avreigh, Darian, Michael, Matthew, Lacy, Brie, Destin, Brandon, Ryan, Karleigh, Madison, Braiden, Amory, Spencer, Kaylan, Alley, Kole, Hannah, Kambryn, Caydon, Avriana, Anna-Li and Gavin; 10 great grandchildren and her siblings.
Preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Ruth John
Pallbearers will be Destin Castillo, Matthew Quinn, Brandon Walker, Ryan Walker, Jacob Barbre, and Mackenzie Thigpen.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Race Fontenot, Michael Langley, Braiden Perkins, and Mason Babineaux.
Funeral service will be at 10AM Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at The Grand Church in Kinder. Pastor Paul Cavenah and Pastor Greg Willis will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Lukes Cemetery in Elton. Visitation will begin Monday at The Grand Church from 5PM-10PM and will continue Tuesday at 8AM until time of service.
