Obituary of John W. "Dub" Fruge

Mr. John W. “Dub” Fruge November 25, 1929 February 11, 2017 Kinder- Mr. John W. “Dub” Fruge, 87, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 in a local Hospital. He was a native and resident of Kinder. Mr. John was a retired Drag Line Operator with T.L. James Company where he worked for many years. He enjoyed gardening and mechanic work. He also loved to reminisce and tell stories about the old days. Mr. John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His sense of humor will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his five children, James Fruge and wife Debbie of Lake Charles, Sammie Ortego and husband Mickey of Kinder, Barbara LaFleur and husband Cecil of Kinder, Angie Marcantel and husband Ricky of Kinder, Linda Stroderd and companion Aaron Stacy; two sisters, Lois Cormier of Kinder and Wanda Fontenot of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Stacey, Brandon, Josh, Ashley, Ryan, Seth, Timothy, Lauren, and Kory; 15 great grandchildren, Madison, Trey, Blair, Hayden, Maurion, Zane, Alex, Kinsey, Scarlett, Caleb, Austin, Emma, Easton, Bentley, and Zachary John. Preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Fruge; parents, McKinley and Estelle Fruge; 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10AM at Reed Funeral Home of Kinder. Deacon Roy Nash will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday from 1PM-9PM with a rosary at 6:30PM. Visitation will continue Monday at 8AM until time of service.
