Obituary of Conway Claude Ardoin Sr.

Conway C. Ardoin Sr. July 17, 1934 December 2, 2016 Welsh- Mr. Conway C. Ardoin Sr.,82, passed away peacefully Friday, December 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Welsh. Conway was a member of the Welsh Backers and a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus. He was a devoted and faithful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Conway will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 62 years, my Bev; five children, Rebecca Ardoin and companion Lee Drake, Joan Benoit and husband Keith, Tammy Watkins and husband Jim, Conway “Chuck” Ardoin Jr., Kent Ardoin and wife Monica; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren on the way. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Preceded in death by his parents, Drozin and Adelina Louviere Ardoin; 6 brothers and 1 sister. Mass of Christian burial will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 12PM at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. Father Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday at the church from 9AM until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 10AM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
