Obituary of Gertie LaFleur

Gertie LaFleur April 4, 1919 August 13, 2016 Kinder- Gertie LaFleur, 97, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016. She was a resident of Kinder. Ms. Gertie was a faithful member of Grace Community Church. Survivors include four children, Gene LaFleur and wife Barbara of Buna, TX, Carol LeDoux of Kinder, Genevieve Smith and husband HW “Bill” of Kinder, Sherman LaFleur and wife Sandra of Kinder; sister, Addie “Green” Thibodeaux of Port Arthur, TX; 21 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Marion LaFleur; two sons, Charles D. LaFleur and Ronald “Boonie” LaFleur; son-in-law, Lee LeDoux; two grandsons, David LaFleur and Erick LeDoux. Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at Grace Community Church at 10AM. Rev. HW Smith, Rev. Rod Nesmith, and Rev. Terry Bushnell will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin Sunday at Reed Funeral Home from 5PM-9PM and will continue Monday at Grace Community Church at 8AM until time of service.
