Obituary of Marie Theresa Howard

Marie Theresa Howard September 2, 1936 May 8, 2016 Kinder-Ms. Theresa Howard, 79, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Lafayette surrounded by her loving family. Ms. Theresa was born in Basile and was a lifelong resident of Kinder. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. She truly enjoyed helping people and visiting with the elderly at the nursing home. Ms. Theresa was a retired business owner. She owned several businesses throughout her life. Most of all, she was a devoted and faithful mother, sister, and friend. Ms. Theresa will be missed dearly throughout the community. She is survived by five children, Mary Gauthreaux, Judy Baker and husband Bruce, Johnny LaFleur and wife Louise, Robert LaFleur and wife Kathy, Joe LaFleur and wife Melody all of Kinder; three sisters, Bonnie Manuel, LouAnna Fruge, and Shirley Credeur all of Kinder; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 10AM at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Father Keith Pellerin will officiate. Burial will follow at Green oak Cemetery. Visitation will begin at Reed Funeral Home Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2PM-10PM with a vigil service 6PM and a rosary will follow.
