Obituary of Tonya Roxanne Berry

Kinder- Tonya Roxanne Smith Berry began her journey to heaven on March 14th, 2016 after enjoying life for the last 47 years Tonya was born to Jerry Smith and Deborah Robertson August 18th 1968 in Kinder, Louisiana. She graduated from Kinder High School, going on to further her education at McNeese State University. After graduating, her loving and genuine personality led her to work in the healthcare industry. Tonya married her soul mate Gerard Berry in 2014. They settled down and made a home in New Orleans. Tonya’s light and legacy of love continues to shine through her three children and two grandchildren. She is preceded in death by Grandmother Mary Latour Robertson, Grandfather Winford “Bob” Robertson and Grandfather Henry Smith. She is survived by her husband Gerard Berry of New Orleans, mother Deborah Robertson of Kinder, father Jerry Smith of Montana, grandmother Margie Bell Smith, brother Chad Smith and Wife Tina Smith of Magnolia Texas; sister Jaqueline Smith of New Orleans, brother Neal Martin of Reeves, brother Aubrey Smith of Montana, sister Ashley Cole of Kinder, sister Nikki Martin Galloway of Kinder, daughter Danyelle Bell and husband Pedro Santos of Chalmette, son Gabriel Fontenot of Lake Charles, daughter Elizabeth Fontenot of Kinder, three nieces Harlee, Lisa, Hillary, and two grandchildren, Gracie and Lucas. At this time of celebrating the life of Tonya, we can remember and reminisce on her joyous outlook on life and all the things she loved.
